Almost every blog I read has recently done a “My 7 Links” post. I’ve especially found these posts helpful to bring me up to speed on blogs that I’m new to. So I was excited when Paula from Eat:Watch:Run, Cate from GoodForYou, and Andrea from Onion In My Hair nominated me to participate (Thanks for thinking of me!).
So what is 7 Links all about?
To unite bloggers (from all sectors) in a joint endeavor to share lessons learned and create a bank of long but not forgotten blog posts that deserve to see the light of day again.
1) Blogger is nominated to take part
2) Blogger publishes his/her 7 links on his/her blog – 1 link for each category.
3) Blogger nominates up to 5 more bloggers to take part.
4) These bloggers publish their 7 links and nominate another 5 more bloggers
5) And so it goes on!
Most Beautiful: Family Vacation & Pumpkin Bean Soup
I included some of my favorite photos of the beach, woods, and pond from my annual family vacation to our cabin in Lake Ontario.
Most Popular: Crazy Sexy [Raw] Recipes pt. 2
Chocomole: the richest, easiest, healthiest dessert I’ve ever made, and the only dessert recipe I’ve posted to date. Based on it’s success, I really should post more desserts!
Most Controversial: A visit to Farm Sanctuary
This was the most challenging post for me to write. I really wanted to highlight the need for better treatment of farm animals, without scaring away or pressuring any readers.
Most Helpful: Book Summary: What I Learned from “Crazy Sexy Diet”
This was one of the first (and best) nutrition books I’ve read. I learned SO much from it and have been eating better ever since. I shared some of my biggest learnings from this book.
This was one of my most-read blog posts. Everyone loved the colors of the dish, and were as excited to discover that Corn on the Cob can be made in the microwave as I was
Not Enough Attention: My favorite FREE group fitness activities in Chicago
This post has so much information, it really should be 4 separate posts! If you live in Chicago, I hope you’ll read this and take advantage of these unique work-outs soon, since some of them are only available in the summer.
Most Proud: My First Blogger Meet-Up
I’ve only been blogging regularly for a few months. In addition to overcoming my nerves and meeting some truly wonderful people, attending the meet-up also proved to myself that my blog isn’t just a passing phase – I love blogging and I plan to stick around!
